ASCEND YOUTH MINISTRY – Ascend is our dynamic, energetic, and fun youth ministry for middle school and high school students to explore faith in Jesus Christ and how to fulfill His will for our life.
ASCEND 3E VISION – By the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, we (1) Encourage non-believers to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior (John 1:12-13); (2) Equip new believers with God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16), and (3) Empower mature believers to take on Christ’s ministry and succeed (1 Cor. 12:12-31, 2 Tim. 2:1-2).
We are planning a trip to Timberlee in East Troy, WI for a WinterExtreme weekend February 26 - 28. The cost per person is $134. Sunday Morning Jr. High Bible Studay and Sr. High Breakout
Our 6th grade through high school students attend the 9:00am contemporary praise and worship service. After praise and worship with the whole church, we break off and dive deeper into our relationship with Jesus through fellowship, Biblical teaching, and sharing how God is moving in our lives through a student led Bible study. The 6th and 7th graders meet in classroom B, the 8th grade and High School students meet in classroom A. Both groups meet on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of each month. Confirmation
Our confirmation program is open to all students entering 8th grade or older. We meet in the classroom at the back of the Church Building. Class times will run in parallel with the second service (10:45 - 12 noon). The program will run through April 25th and students will be confirmed on Sunday, May 2, 2010. Confirmation students meet every Sunday from September through May from 10:45am to noon. Our goal is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the claims of Christ and Biblical views of the world in order to help them make informed decisions for Jesus Christ. Confirmation students also participate in service projects, mission trips, and other experiences that help them see faith in action. At the end of the confirmation year, students are given the opportunity to profess faith in Jesus Christ during our worship service, and are encouraged to be baptized.
Sunday Evening Ascend Youth Group
On Sunday nights from 6-8pm, our middle school and high school students have a blast playing games, worshipping, learning and applying God’s Word, and interacting in small groups where we share who we are: our joys, our struggles, our hurts, our questions, and our passions. We welcome you to come and do life in Christ with us.
Sunday Evening WIRED Coffee House
One Sunday each month we convert the community house into a coffee house called WIRED, and invite kids in the community to join us. This is a fun night to build relationships with friends and make new friends while we run an open-mich, games, snacks, art-work, and enjoy hang time.
