EDGE
(6th-12th grades)

EDGE is our dynamic, energetic and community-based youth ministry for middle school and high school students to explore faith in Jesus Christ and how to fulfill His will for their lives.

EDGE 3E Vision

By the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, we:

1. Encourage non-believers to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior (John 1:12-13)

2. Equip new believers with God’s Word (2 Tim. 3:16)

3. Empower mature believers to take on Christ’s ministry and succeed (1 Cor. 12:12-31, 2 Tim. 2:1-2).

We meet on Sunday evenings from 5:30pm to 8:15pm (on most Sundays, unless we are doing a special ministry or event). We often share dinner together, play various team-building games, investigate and apply God's Word, spend time in worship and prayer as well as connecting with one another in small groups. Students have a chance to discover and share who they are---their joys, struggles, hurts, questions and passions. We welcome you to come and do life in Christ with us. Students are invited to come early for various sports and games at 5:30pm. Pizza dinner or something similar is usually at 6:15pm and we strive to finish by 8:15pm. Many students stick around to hang out, play some dodge ball or just connect afterwards.

Why EDGE? Students at this age are on the EDGE of entering into adulthood. They are also at the precipice of making decisions that will have an eternal and lifelong impact. It is our prayer that they will make that step of faith and embrace the journey God has for them.

DISTRICTS IN GREEN BAY
WE WERE SO EXCITED to be able to go back to Districts Youth Conference on Jan. 4-6th, 2019.  We joined thousands of other students at the KAI Convention Center for a weekend of worship, biblical teaching and much more,

BELIEVE CONFERENCE, APRIL 26-27, HOLLAND, MI
We are taking our Middle School students to this high-energy weekend event for Jr. high students only. It is structured specifically for Jr. High students and is packed with powerful worship and teaching from Gods Word. While at BELIEVE, students not only worship together but also engage in life-challenging discussions with their peers and adult leaders. As they go through the weekend, they disover ways in which God is calling them to be Kingdom workers in their schools, communities and the world.  Watch a clip from BELIEVE here. Contact Pastor Tony or Cindy Disney Gainey for more details.

EDGE Schedule:

Youth Worship Band  ---on select Sunday evenings our musical students gather together for dinner, fellowship, rehearse and participate in jam sessions.  Once a month or so they lead worship on Sunday mornings.   If you would like to be part of this –whether it be singing, helping with sound/tech or playing an instrument in the band—see Bradley or our Worship Arts Director Luke Merwin or email our Pastor of Spiritual Growth and Community Life, Pastor Tony West using this link. Check back here for Sunday worship in May led by the Youth Worship Band.

EQUIP Sundays Usually twice a month, our students will have an opportunity to be equipped to think biblically and live out the Word of God in their daily lives. These classes for the 6th-12th graders are interactive and will focus on relevant topics that students are dealing with in regards to their faith. These classes will meet at 10:25am during the Worship Service in either the Chapel Reception room or the Community House. Donuts or bagels are often included. On other Sundays we seek to equip our students to listen to and apply the sermon with the adults in the Worship service and at least one Sunday a month many of our students serve in the Children's Ministry or with Worship Arts. Upcoming EQUIP Sundays are April 28th, May 19th, and June 2, 23 & 30th, and July 7th. Additional July dates will be included later into June.
