Our vision for outreach is to be Christ to others by seeing with His eyes and acting with His heart.  Our mission is to encourage, serve and empower the under-resourced to experience life transformation.  We have many service opportunities.

Long Grove Community Church maintains long term commitments to foreign missionaries and currently supports:

Dr. Julius and Mary Lawal's Children's Home in Rotolu, Nigeria.  For a video about this loving ministry to God's little ones, click here.

George and Kathy Dostal, missionaries who currently work through Mission Impact to send teams from all over the United States to Guatemala.  For more information about their ministry, go to www.missionimpact.com.

Long Grove Community Church currently supports the following regional and local ministries:

Love in the Name of Christ (Love INC) brings Christian churches together, across denominational lines, to help the poor by meeting immediate needs such as food and clothing, as well as longer-term responses through relational ministries such as life skills training.   The ultimate mission of Love INC is to transform lives and communities through the love of Jesus Christ.  For more information on Love INC national go to www.loveinc.org.  Long Grove Church is now partnering with Love INC Lake County Southwest, www.loveincsouthwest.org. .  To find out how you can be a part of this ministry, contact us at outreach.pray@lgcc2day.com.   

Here's a recap of recent activities from Love INC Lake County Southwest:   In July, we received donations of 46 pieces of furniture and household items, plus 1 major appliance.  In July we gave 91 furniture and household items and 9 major appliances to people in need.  In the first 2 quarters of 2011, 65 different volunteers from our partner churches served 2,455 hours and we received over 400 calls from people in need, mostly referred by partner churches.  WE NEED YOU . , . to keep the momentum of our ministry going!!!

Catalyst      Catalyst is an organization that is dedicated to the mobilization of churches by connecting people and resources for greater Kingdom impact.  As a member church, we have access to all of the events and information available through their website:  www.catalystweb.org.  If you would like to be included in their e-news distribution, go to the website and sign up. 

As a member church of Catalyst of Lake County, Long Grove Community Church participates in a county-wide food drive, a back pack program and other service projects that benefit residents of Lake County in the name of Christ.
