LGCC Legacy Kids

Our vision for Children's Ministries is to partner with parents as we help kids connect with God in a life changing way as they discover how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and actively live for Him.

Our goal for Children's Ministries is to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment in which children can grow in their relationship with Jesus, hear God's Word, and learn to share His love with others in their communities.

Sunday Morning Children's Programs (birth through fifth grade)

Sunday School is held in the lower level of the Community House.

10:00 am Worship Service

Nursery (birth through age 2)

We share God’s love with our littlest ones by welcoming them into a safe, secure and nurturing environment. We lay the foundation of a life-long faith by sharing simple concepts like Jesus loves me and God made my food.

Preschool (2 through 5 year olds)

Our preschoolers learn to share God’s love with each other through creative play, sharing, Bible stories, story reenactment, music and hands-on crafts.

Kindergarten through 5th grade

We continue to lead the children through Bible instruction in their journey toward becoming followers of Christ. As we teach each Bible story, there is a new layer to explore and understand. We are building a foundation of understanding who God is and how, through God's Word, we see His redemptive plan revealed through Jesus Christ, the chosen Messiah. We are expanding our hearts in worship in response to the truth of the Gospel and God's great love for us. We have opportunities to serve throughout the year in order to be the hands & feet of Christ to the world around us. We are shaping a Godly world view as we discuss how God's Word impacts our lives and how we live it out each day.

Vacation Bible School

We are planning for VBS 2020 and announce this year's theme is going to be Rocky Railway where we will learn about the Power of Jesus.  The 2020 dates are July 20-24 and we want your family to participate.  Kids ages 3-12 are welcome to attend and parents & older siblings are welcome to serve.  Please mark your calendars and start praying for the work that God will do this year through VBS.  If you would like more information about Vacation Bible School please use this link to email Cindy Disney-Gainey.  During the week of VBS we will introduce the theme for the week, worship together, eat some food, play games and decorate our T-shirts. We average about 100 children each year as we venture into into various-themed adventure lands where our children are not only able to survive but thrive.

Christmas Musical

This is an opportunity for our children to participate at Christmas to actively celebrate the birth of our King.  Open auditions (everyone is given a part) are held on the last Sunday in August.

Rehearsal for this year's Christmas Musical, CAKE by Brentwood Benson, started Sunday, Sept 15 at 9am.  We meet in the lower level of the Community house to hand out CD's & scripts. We'll start by learning the songs.  If you haven't committed to do the show yet, it's OK, I can give you a couple of weeks to decide...but come if you want to check it out. We will meet at 9am through Sept.  Once Oct hits, we'll be practicing after church.  Access the rehearsal schedule here

It's going to be a student-run production this year.  I will direct, but all the behind-the scenes will be students working with adults...please consider joining the tech team, the lighting crew, the AV, the costume, stage & set design, etc. if you're interested in those roles as well, please let Cindy Disney-Gainey know.  And please tell a friend!
