A Special Message from Ms. Cindy

LGCC Legacy Kids

Our vision for Children's Ministries is to partner with parents as we help kids connect with God in a life changing way as they discover how to have a relationship with Jesus Christ and actively live for Him.

Our goal for Children's Ministries is to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment in which children can grow in their relationship with Jesus, hear God's Word, and learn to share His love with others in their communities.

Sunday Morning Children's Programs (birth through fifth grade)

We encourage all visitors to come 15 minutes prior to the start of the 10am service to sign into our Children's Ministry system for the first time and get situated.  We look forward to meeting you & answering all of your questions.  We want you to feel comfortable and want your child to feel safe and have fun.

10:00 am Worship Service

Nursery (birth through age 2)

We share God’s love with our littlest ones by welcoming them into a safe, secure and nurturing environment. We lay the foundation of a life-long faith by sharing simple concepts like Jesus loves me and God made my food.

Preschool (2 through 5 year olds)

Our preschoolers learn to share God’s love with each other through creative play, sharing, Bible stories, story reenactment, music and hands-on crafts.

Kindergarten through 5th grade

We continue to lead the children through Bible instruction in their journey toward becoming followers of Christ. As we teach each Bible story, there is a new layer to explore and understand. We are building a foundation of understanding who God is and how, through God's Word, we see His redemptive plan revealed through Jesus Christ, the chosen Messiah. We are expanding our hearts in worship in response to the truth of the Gospel and God's great love for us. We have opportunities to serve throughout the year in order to be the hands & feet of Christ to the world around us. We are shaping a Godly world view as we discuss how God's Word impacts our lives and how we live it out each day.

Annual Children's Ministry Events

Good News Club

The Ivy Hall School Good News Club is open to all kids in the community, including kids who homeschool, and meets on Thursdays from 3-4:30 pm through April 16th (with the exception of March 12th & 26th).  The Good News Club meets at the Ivy Hall School Art Room located at 1072 Ivy Hall Ln, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.  Registration forms are required for all students to attend (click here for registration form).   Each week the teacher presents an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF Press.  We are currently learning about the life & ministry of Jesus and our time includes a snack, songs, Scripture memory, a missions story and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme.  For more information about GNC and to see a video visit their website Good News Club here.

As with all CEF ministries, the purpose of Good News Club is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. For more information about CEF has taken specific steps to ensure the safety of your child.  All adults involved with the club have been carefully screened as required by the CEF Child Protection Policy.
