Our Staff


Bill MooreBill Moore, Senior Pastor was raised in Rockford, Illinois and came to follow Jesus at the age of nine.  He attended Rockford Guilford High School and is a graduate of Rockford College.  He married his high school sweetheart, Jo Ann and eventually engaged in the practice of law in Rockford.  After 10 years of being an attorney, he sensed God's call to enter into ministry.  Following his receiving of a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, he assumed pastoral duties in the Evangelical Free Church of America.  Having served as Senior Pastor in two E Free churches, Pastor Bill joined the LGCC staff in March of 2009.  He has four daughters, three granddaughters and four grandsons.


Tony West

Tony West joined our staff in the spring of 2011 as our Youth & Family Pastor. He currently serves as our Pastor of Community Life & Spiritual Growth. He taught character based education in the public schools and trained educators and parents across the country for over 7 years with various organizations. Tony has a passion for communicating biblical truth in a creative, life-changing manner so students can make healthy choices and live life to the fullest in Christ. Tony holds a Master of Divinity Degree from Trinity International University and a B.A. from Moody Bible Institute. He and his wife, Debbie, grew up in Chicago and were married in 1996. They are the proud parents of two girls and a boy. Tony and Debbie love connecting with people from different cultures and enjoying ethnic foods. Tony enjoys basketball, volleyball and enjoys being active outdoors and in nature.


photo_CindyCindy Disney-Gainey, Director of Children's Ministries.  Cindy has been a member and serving on staff since 2010.  She is married and has four children and is passionate about helping other families train up Godly children.  She enjoys sharing her parenting struggles with others as a means to come alongside of other families to learn from and encourage one another.  "Serving in the children's ministry of LGCC is personally shaping me into the kind of mother I want to be and helps me learn the on-the-job skills I need to be more effective in my role at home."  Cindy enjoys meeting people and making others feel as welcome to LGCC as she was the first Sunday she visited with her family.


photo_LukeMerwinLuke Merwin started attending and playing guitar at LGCC in 2011.  In the spring of 2013 he was hired as the Director of Worship and Arts.  Also, in 2013, Luke married his high school sweetheart Katie.  He graduated from Taylor University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Music in Jazz Guitar.  Luke has always enjoyed leading people in worship since he was in high school, and is excited to serve the Lord through music.




Photo_CherylCheryl Moss has been serving as Office Manager since January, 2008.  She and her husband have been members since December, 2003 and are blessed with two children.  Cheryl received her Bachelor's degree from Rockford University in Business Administration.  She previously worked at Citigroup and Sears Holdings. She serves as a Sunday School teacher and in other areas throughout the church.  Cheryl most enjoys time with her family and boating on their lake.  She thanks God for the awesome joy and responsibility He has given her. 

Photo_TracyTracy Lawless joined our staff as Financial Manager in August, 2008. Tracy has been a part of our church family since 2002. She has a Bachelors degree from the University of WI-Madison in Accounting, and is a CPA. She has worked for Ernst & Young as an Auditor, and then with CUNA Mutual Insurance Group as an Accounting Project Supervisor. She spent many years at home raising her three children with her husband Brian. She has volunteered at LCGG in many areas including small group leader and interim Children's Director. God has blessed Tracy with a passion for curling, reading, beading, and knitting. 


Photo_SueSue Adams, our Wedding and Baptism Coordinator, has been a member of Long Grove Community Church since 1994, when she and her family moved here. In 1998, Sue began working as assistant secretary and a year and a half later became the Wedding and Baptism Coordinator. Sue was an original member of the Honey Bears. Sue and her husband, Butch, were married in 1976 and have two children, Samantha and Haley. Her hobbies are gardening and spending time with her dogs. Sue says that this church has inspired her to know that God is with you in everything you do. (Gen. 21:22).


Holly Oberrieder_photoHolly Oberrieder joined our staff in May 2016 as Secretary and has been a member of our church since 1993. Before that, she volunteered in her children’s Christian school for over 12 years and was a stay-at-home mom. Holly received a BA from Valparaiso University and a BS from Dayspring Bible College. She loves answering the phone, has a passion for our Fest Parking Ministry, and will greet you with a huge smile.

Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month, held in our historic sanctuary.  Other Sundays this service is held in the Community House.

11:30am Community Time   (Fellowship coffee, Elder Coffees, special events, etc.)

We look forward to having our faith community together for the purpose of worship and teaching.
